one of my favorite tumblr specific idiosynacricies is when someone asks your opinion on a certain piece of media/celebrity and you go “i’m not really interested and i don’t know much about them” then you get an ask that says “well they’re deeply problematic and evil so don’t get into it” and you go oh ok and then someone ELSE goes “that anon was lying they’re a progressive perfect person” and you go oh… ok and they bicker back and forth with you being entirely uninterested until you start getting anons from a new genre going “wait what did x do?” and you suddenly become the PR person for a show or actor you didn’t even know existed in the first place
