Dino, Hibari and Xanxus had their s/o tortured because they thought they were a spy but now they are trying to win her back and try to make it up to her
Dino
“The name, tell me the name!” He groaned as he slammed his hands on table, leaning down, his eyes staring into yours with so much hate that made you wonder if any of those ‘I love you’s were ever real along with affection he showed you. “We can’t go on like this.” he sighed, straightening up. “If you won’t open that mouth of yours, I’ll make you.”
The tears you held back in for so long streamed down your cheeks. “I-I’m not a spy, D-Dino…” You jumped when he threw table to the side. It was the first time he has shown so many dark emotions and it scared you.
“Don’t you dare say my name. You don’t deserve to.” His voice was cold and he approached you, leaning down on each arm-side of the chair. “Name.” he started once again.
Slowly shaking your head, you wanted to speak again, but the next moment you knew his whip was tightly wrapped around you, craving its way into your skin, leaving bruises and cuts behind. Romario stood by the doors, any emotion that he ever showed before by your side was now wiped off his face like a statue with numb expression.
“I’m not working for any family!” You cried when the doors swung open, one of Dino’s subordinates walking towards Romario, exchanging words. “I’m not a spy!”
“Stop lying!”
“Boss,” Romario walked over before any more damage could have been done.
You lowered your head, too afraid to see the anger and betrayal in his eyes. You knew it was useless to claim you didn’t belong to any family, but you couldn’t say anything else than speak the truth. You didn’t know how long it passed, but you found yourself in a bedroom, a doctor and a nurse tending to the cuts Dino’s whip has left behind.
“Do you have any other bruises?” The doctor asked, looking at you with sadness, but you doubted it was the emotion he felt.
Quietly shaking your head, the man smiled and left with the nurse, but Romario remained in the room. It was hard to not look at him when he stood not too far from you; instead you looked around, wondering just why did Dino suddenly change his mind. The memory of his anger, the fear you felt still didn’t wear off as you slowly wrapped your arms around yourself, trying to keep yourself warm from the cold you felt.
“Are you cold?” Dino’s voice startled you and you jumped, your eyes wide. He forced a small smile, but slowly wrapped a blanket around your shoulders, sudden care confusing you when not too long ago he was demanding the name of the enemy he thought you were working for. “I am sorry.” He spoke, seeing your discomfort and took a step away. “I’m sorry for hurting you. It wasn’t my intention.”
You scowled at his choice of words, which he seemed to realize it wasn’t to your liking.
“I received information you were a spy for a family that wanted to bring us down.” He was looking straight at you, letting you know he will not go away until he makes it sure you understand enough.
“And you thought locking me in a room and interrogating will let you get all information you need on the enemy?” Your voice shook, but you stood strong even if you were breaking deep down. His eyes glinted in guilt and sadness as he averted his gaze, like he was ashamed of the actions he had done. “I… I trusted you…” It turned quieter. “Did any of those…” Your breath was caught in your throat, unable to speak anymore.
“I’m sorry…” He took a deep breath before he spoke, making sure the eye contact wasn’t broken. “I’ll do anything to gain your trust again. I’ll kneel down, but don’t shut me out. I won’t be able to handle that.”
Closing your eyes, you turned your head, not wanting to see his face. “Please go…” You whispered, afraid to speak louder.
There was nothing for a moment until footsteps were heard, doors opening and closing, leaving you alone in stranger’s room that once belonged to you.
Hibari
He had to give it to you. No matter what weapon, what kind of words he used, you didn’t give out the name he needed except the words of not working for any enemy and pleas to let you go. But he couldn’t just release and let you go now, could he? After all, even if you don’t speak, he will make you reveal a secret one way or another.
You were hardly ever afraid of him, knowing he was human as much as everyone else. You knew he also had emotions, but now every time you looked at him, there was emptiness that hurt you more than any word he spoke to you. The fact that he didn’t believe you and that there was a chance he wouldn’t trust you anymore, hurt you twice as much.
Yet the constant torture of questions demanded from you made you numb, barely feeling anything as you quietly stared in front of yourself. The tears that were once staining your cheeks were now dried, spots on your arms and legs slowly turning darker and with each hit you received, it hurt less.
It wasn’t until you were left alone in the room, Hibari saying he will return later to continue, that you slipped into darkness, welcoming you with open arms. It brought a smile on your lips as you succumbed to it.
“How is she?” You recognized Tsuna’s voice.
“She had a bit of internal bleeding, but she’s stable now. The bruises and wounds will take time to heal, but they will.” It was Shamal and you wondered to yourself what he was doing here, at Vongola headquarters, knowing he was on a mission.
“Thank you, Shamal.” Tsuna smiled and there was silence, footsteps decreasing from your side before they disappeared out of the room and down the hallway. “I know you’re awake.” Tsuna started, approaching your bedside.
Instead of opening your eyes and look at him, you pretended to sleep. Not because you were afraid to see him, but because of the sudden gentleness and warmth you felt from him. It scared you.
“If you wish to remain sleeping so be it.” You heard him, but he didn’t move from his position. “Hibari is coming.” It was all he said as he turned away and left the room.
Once you were sure you were alone, you opened your eyes, your gaze lingering on the doors, suddenly feeling afraid to see him. A shiver ran down your spine, but a small bundle of yellowness reached your sight and it made you tear up, like you still had some tears left.
“H-Hibird…” You murmured quietly and choked on a sob when Hibird flew down on your side, chirping. A chuckle left your lips as you slowly raised your hand and caressed the head of little bird until your ears caught up on quiet steps outside the bedroom. You immediately knew it was Hibari and it only approved your thoughts when Hibird flew on your shoulder like it was trying to protect you.
The doors opened with a silent creek, revealing Hibari, who seemed annoyed and beaten like he just came from a fight. Your heart skipped a beat when your eyes met his steel-coloured ones that were now filled with care, guilt and rage. Quietly walking to your side, he looked at Hibird, who started chirping, and stopped with his approach.
“Little animal…” He spoke, his gaze hard, yet he understood. Looking back at you, his expression softened and you didn’t need to guess twice what he was thinking.
“I am alright,” You started softly and quietly.
Both of you knew you weren’t alright and that it will take time before you let him close like he was before, without being startled. But with Hibird on your side, protecting you even if by chirping, you felt safe enough.
Xanxus
Cries and pleas were filling the torturing room as he stood not too far from you, watching with his cold eyes as memory of your darkest nightmares were played in your head, Mammon standing in front, the cause of neverending nightmares. Your breathing was quick and shallow, shutting your eyes and trying to free yourself from the rope that was tying you down on the chair.
One step forward and Mammon stepped aside, Xanxus standing right in front of you, watching as you slowly raised your head, tears streaming down your cheeks. “Which family?” His voice was filled with venom that sent shivers down your spine few times, but now all you wanted was to shut his voice out of every part of your thoughts.
“I-I’m not…”
You couldn’t end your sentence when you were trapped in illusions once again, Mammon sending a glance towards Xanxus, his eyes showing no emotion. But this time you didn’t scream and yell like all those illusions before. You were beginning to feel numb each time more, telling yourself that it can’t be worse than before.
“Boss,” Levi rushed in, followed by Lussuria, who already walked your way, ready to untie you, but Xanxus shot right one meter from you.
“What are you doing, trash?” Xanxus asked, looking at Lussuria.
“There has been misinformation,” Levi started, but Varia boss kept his eyes on his Sun guardian who slowly and carefully approached you. “[Name] is clean. We made throughout inspection and looked in deeply, but she has no connection, no history, nothing to make her worthy for a spy. She was framed by the enemy.”
Mammon looked at Xanxus’ whose eye twitched in irritation that grew into anger and rage, his aura making every living soul quiver in the Varia headquarters. “Where’s the scum that gave us the information?” He asked and left, everyone following while Lussuria untied your hands and legs, carefully lifting you in his arms and left the room, losing consciousness.
You woke up in a bed you once slept in with Xanxus and immediately became alarmed. The cuts and wounds on your arms and legs were treated and bandaged, the pain in your ribs lessened, but still present. If it weren’t for the pain and the proof that was displayed right in front of your eyes, you would have thought that all that torture, all those illusions were part of a nightmare. But it wasn’t.
The doors opened and you flinched, immediately standing from bed like it would consume you any moment, but your gaze didn’t move from the man that walked in; the man you once loved. His eyes met yours, but he didn’t stop walking your way even when you were trapped in a corner, shivering.
“You should be lying in bed.” He spoke quietly, but loud enough as he held your hand and dragged you towards bed, shoving you on rather roughly. “Stay here.”
“I don’t want to.” You didn’t know where you found your voice, but you did. He stared at you, red eyes that always seemed so emotionless, now showing something you couldn’t understand.
“Get in bed.” he said, his voice stern, a promise of pain if you didn’t follow his order.
“No,” You stood your ground, unable to shake off the days and nights in the room below the ground. “I don’t want to have anything with y-you anymore. O-or anyone else from Varia.” You couldn’t help but stutter on moments, but your back was straight, showing your defiance. “You’re the last person I want to see right now.”
Xanxus didn’t move or flinch when you spoke those words, his face free of any expression. He quietly watched you before he turned on his heels and walked towards doors, closing and locking them. Your eyes widened and you ran, trying to open them but they didn’t budge. You banged on doors, without caring for the pain that you felt.
“Let me out!” You called, knowing he was standing just outside.
“You’re going to stay here until you get better.” His deep voice made you take a step back. “And don’t even try to run away, because I’m watching every step you make and I will drag you back myself.”
